This class will teach both 2D and 3D artists how to accurately convey the original image while avoiding unexpected shadows, poor image quality, and off coloring. Students of all levels are welcome. Friday, August 21st. 10PM. Brothers Gow, is a quintet out of San Diego that combines rock, funk, jazz and reggae influences. This year we will present Michael Jackson’s THRILLER album in its entirety, which we will theatricalize and stage for an great night of fun. Two nights only and not to be missed!

Thursday, August 20th. 9-1PM Forage & 5-8PM Feast. $170+$30 ingredients In the morning, join wild mushroom expert John Sir Jesse, to learn about and gather a variety of edible local fungi. Later in the evening students will reconvene to transform the day's harvest into a delicious dinner with French chef Bertrand Marchal. For forage, wear comfortable shoes, bring sunscreen/hat, water, snacks, lunch, small sharp knife and cloth of paper bag for collecting. For the dinner, bring your own beverage. Tuesday-Thursday. August 18th-20th. 10-2PM. $195 tuition+$85 studio fee* *The studio fee covers the model and Gamsol solvent and disposal. Students have the option of bringing their own required materials or purchasing them from Ah Haa for an additional $45 fee. In this three-day workshop students will use oil paints and work from a live model. Students will focus on facial structure and how it can be broken down into planes of light and shadow. Individual attention will be given, so that each student can achieve their goals with portraiture. Painting experience is helpful, but not required. To register, click HERE .
Tuesday-Thursday. August 18th-20th. 10-2PM. $215 tuition+$10 material Over the course of three days, students will learn how to read light, and recognize when and how to change it. Through hands on demonstrations, participants will be able to leave with new tools and skills for creating powerful photographs in any setting. Participants should bring a digital SLR camera and have a good understanding of how their camera works. Satuday & Sunday. August 15 & 16th. 9-5PM. $250 tuition + $35 materials. Students will participate in at least four firings over the course of two days, and will be able to glaze and fire their own pieces.
