KOTO, the local Telluride radio station, throws an annual fundraiser in the form of the Doo-Dah concert. The 17th Annual KOTO Doo-Dah concert will take place on Saturday, August 24, 2013 with Thievery Corporation and Pimps of Joytime . Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 on the day of the show. Telluride Top Chef is an annual Chef cook-off and wine/beer/food tasting benefitting The One-to-One San Miguel Mentoring Program. The One-to-One programs seeks to empower youth in San Miguel County to achieve their social, emotional, and academic potential through professionally supported mentoring relationships. The 2013 Top Chef competition will feature Peter Cumplido of the Hotel Madeline's M Restaurant, Johnny Gerona of Bread and Roses Catering, Stephen Roth of Allred's Restaurant and Telluride Ski Resort Executive Chef, Eliza Gavin of 221 South Oak, and Dustin Smith of Honga's Lotus Petal. The 1st Annual Many Hands Fiber Arts Festival seeks to bring together fiber arts artists of all ages to exhibit, educate, and learn about the diverse methods of fiber arts creation. Styles include knitting, quilting, textiles, weaving, needlepoint, embroidery, felting, crochet, and more! The festival also includes an extensive sale that will be held at the Telluride High School throughout the weekend.
