This annual Telluride Historical Museum lecture series delves into local historical topics through the lenses of authors, historical re-enactors, professors, geologists and more. Wednesday, August 5th. 10-2PM. $85 tuition. Adults & 16+ This class will equip you with many alternatives for ingredient choices and cooking methods. Chep Lucy Perutz will share a number of her famous Fabbit Rabbit salad recipes and show students how to invent their own delicious salads. To register, click HERE .
Monday-Wednesday. August 3rd-5th. 10-4PM. $425 tuition+$40 materials Students must also purchase required materials separately. Participants will create unique cloth for stitching and collaging. Emphasis will be placed on expressing your own "voice". Non-textile artists are welcome and no previous stitching experience is required. To register, click HERE .
Mondays. August 3rd- September 14th (no class September 7th). 6-9PM. $300 tuition+$50 materials. Adults & 16+ Learn the art of working with clay to create functional vessels such as cups, bowls, plates, vases and more. Students will explore a variety of techniques in the class, and are then encouraged to focus on whichever technique suits them best. An introduction to slips and glazes will also be included in the course. All students will have access to the ceramics studio between classes. To register, click HERE .
Saturday- Sunday. August 1st-2nd. 9-12noon*. $120 tuition + $55 materials * This same class is also offered in an Afternoon Session for 1-4pm each day. In this two-day open studio, students will explore a multitude of approaches in hte application of dye to woven cloth. The class is in an open studio structure, allowing support for students of all levels of experience. The materials fee includes dyes, chemicals and miscellaneous supplies, but NOT fabric. The 2ndAnnual Many Hands Fiber Arts Festival seeks to bring together fiber arts artists of all ages to exhibit, educate, and learn about the diverse methods of fiber arts creation. Styles include knitting, quilting, textiles, weaving, needlepoint, embroidery, felting, crochet, and more! The festival also includes an extensive sale that will be held at the Telluride High School throughout the weekend.

Tuesdays. July 28th- August 25th. 6:30-8:30PM. $200 tuition Throughout this five- week class, students will learn valuable skills to improve their poetry. Through encouragment and tools, students will learn how to better serve the poem and their muse. Students will also discuss how and where to send out poems for publication. Bring a notebook, writing material, and your poetry.
Monday- Friday. July 27th-31st. 9-5PM. $650 + $50 studio fee Includes 24-hour access to the painting studio between class sessions. Students must purchase the required materials on their own. This week-long intensive will investigate making imagery, the urgency of the moment, and the experience of painting outside in the scene of Telluride. One extended, large image will be developed over the last three morning of class. Students should immerge with 7-8 pieces by the end of the week. Drawing experience is recommended. Monday- Friday. July 27th-31st. 9-5PM. $800 tuition In this class students will explore binding structures using real stone veneer in the techniques learned from Sün Evrard. Students will create two bindings in this five day class. If time allows, students will explore uses of the stone veneer as a decorative elemnt for bindings or boxes. Students will need to purchase the veneer at AAB or bring their own. Familiarity with simple bookbinding techniques are preferred, but not necessary.
