Thursday, July 23rd. 4-8PM. $70 tuition+$45 materials. Adults & 16+ In this class, no experience is necessary, to learn to make one-of-a-kind earrings. Students will become farmiliar with torch use and safety, work with various gauges of wire, and explore elemnts of design. Wednesday, July 22nd. 7-9PM. $45 tuition Discover the difference between "fine chocolate" created by small-scale artisans and large-scale manufactured choclolates. Through smell and taste, you can explore chocolate's different flavor profiles and what qualities make good chocolate. Particapants are invited to bring their favorite wine to enjoy while tasting. The Telluride Playwright's Festival is a six day intensive workshop for playwrights, actors, and directors to refine their craft and written work. The festival is put on by Sparky Productions, a non-profit that offers playwrights the unique experience of working in a Rocky Mountain setting. The goal is to help playwrights fulfill their vision in an intimate workshop setting beneath the San Juan Mountain peaks. Plays are chosen from a submission system; playwrights are then offered the opportunity to travel to Telluride to work with a group of actors, directors, and fellow playwrights to refine their work. July 2015 marks the 23nd year of Shakespeare in the Park, and this year they will be performing the classic, A Midsummer's Night Dream . It is a play that takes audience members on a journey; featuring a forest filled wil fairies, monsters, and royalty. This incredible show is centered around love, manipulation, and fun. Both art lovers and community members support the Ah Haa School by bidding on a wide range of work created by artists in and out of Telluride. Typically, more than 100 artworks and myriad services and excursions donated by the region's artists, businesses and supporters of the school are auctioned in live and silent auctions.
