The Telluride Yoga Festival began in 2007 with Jivamukti instructor Aubrey Hackman's vision for a yoga event that went beyond physical exercise. The festival not only provides yogis of all experience levels with an enriching practice experience and allows the opportunity to have a positive impact on the world. Hackman, a passionate environmentalist and animal rights activist, structured the festival around the teachings of karma yoga. Each year, 25% of the net proceeds are donated to a local non-profit whose mission is to help protect and preserve the earth. The festival includes presentations, guided meditations, community yoga classes, special events, and evening classes. Visit www.tellurideyogafestival.com for ticket information and registration.
