Off-Season Art: Monotype Collage with Ann Cheeks

Nothing to do during off-season, not so!  The mono-type collage session with Ann Cheeks will provide plenty of artistic and creative stimluation.  This class will allow you to layer colors, patterns and textures via various collage techniques on paper or canvas to create your own piece of artwork.  No experience necessary,  beginners and experienced artists welcome. Learn the Uke with Jacqui Power

Jacqui Power will be teaching a 5 week introductory adult course on strumming the Uke, Tuesdays from November 1st to December 6th (no class Nov. 22nd) Come out and learn the foundation of this instrument, including how to tune, basic chords and strumming patterns.  Join fellow musicians, create sounds and learn something new.  Bring your own Ukulele, only a limited amount available to borrow.  Tuition $200 CLICK HERE for more details and to register.

Telluride Painting School: Ron Milewicz

Ah Ahaa School for the Arts will host a Telluride Painting School session taught by New York artist Ron Milewicz.  This 2 week program will focus on observation of a live model and translating the human form onto canvas with oil paints.   Monday through Friday from October 31st to November 11th, 9am - 1pm Cost:  $1,145 Included in cost: 24 access to painting studio, model fees, easels/gatorboards and general studio supplies.  For more information CLICK HERE.

Friday October 28th and Saturday October 29th The Sheridan Opera House SHOW Bar will be hosting a 2 night event, the Halloween Monster Bash featuring DJ Seano and a costume contest.   NO COVER!!   Bar opens at 6pm for cocktails, including a $6 Belvedere special. DJ Seano starts spinning at 8pm and the costume contest is at 9pm.  Prize for best costume - tickets to upcoming ski films that will be screened at the Opera House.

Bob & Bobbie Celebratory Farewell Concert

An evening to gather and celebrate the lives of two Telluride talents through song and story.  Say goodbye to Glider Bob, who made his final glide into the sky this year and bid Bobbie Shaffer a happy start in Tuscon, AZ.  Suggested donation of $15, proceeds donated to Bob's Memorial Scholarship and The Bobbie Shaffer Award. All are welcome!  

Cognition: Getting Started with Adobe After Effects

An introductory course on the Adobe After Effects Program from Boulder Digital Arts, presented by Michael Scalisi using both audio and video, into Telluride TV.  This course will offer knowledge on how to add post production value to videos, including special effects, title and text, animations and other effects.  This interactive learning session will allow you to participate in Q&A via a Telluride TV moderator. Cognition Lab: Telluride TV

Made possible by the Wilkinson Public Library in partership with Telluride TV, Cognition Lab is a FREE drop in two hour video editing opportunity in Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premier and iMovie. Bring your own computer, or use one of Telluride TV's.  External hard drive and some video editing experience recommended.  Telluride TV expert present to answer questions. Lab held at the Media Center inside Telluride High School.

Gondola Closes

The Gondola connecting Telluride to Mountain Village will close at midnight after the evening of October 16th.  It will remain closed from October 17th until November 17th. Gondola operations will start for the winter season at 7am on November 18th.  For more information, please click here .
