Telluride Chamber Music Festival

The Telluride Chamber Music Festival has been bringing chamber music to our box canyon since 1973. The festival seeks to forge a spontaneous connection between the audience and the musicians. The festival showcases the finest in chamber music by performing some of the classic greats.  Participating musicians are Roy Malan, Susan Freier, Nance Ellis, Polly Malan, Ian Scarfe, Jeffrey LaDeur, Stephen Harrison, Allan Glassman, and Larry London. The 2014 Schedule of Events (2015 schedule will be posted when it is available. Thursday, August 7:  A free concert in Town Park will open the festival.  A picnic starts at 5pm followed by the concert at 6pm. Monoprinted Cloth and the Stitched Mark

Throw a Cup, Form a Bowl

Mondays. August 3rd- September 14th (no class September 7th). 6-9PM.  $300 tuition+$50 materials. Adults & 16+ Learn the art of working with clay to create functional vessels such as cups, bowls, plates, vases and more. Students will explore a variety of techniques in the class, and are then encouraged to focus on whichever technique suits them best. Fabric Dye Studio for Surface Designers

Saturday- Sunday. August 1st-2nd. 9-12noon*. $120 tuition + $55 materials * This same class is also offered in an Afternoon Session for 1-4pm each day. In this two-day open studio, students will explore a multitude of approaches in hte application of dye to woven cloth. The class is in an open studio structure, allowing support for students of all levels of experience.  The materials fee includes dyes, chemicals and miscellaneous supplies, but NOT fabric. Bilingual Family Night

The last Thursday of Every Month @ 5:00. Join us the last Thursday of every month at 5:00 pm in the children’s area for a bilingual night of stories, games, food, friends and family. Bring your favorite dish to share if you can, but come by anyway even if you don’t have time to make something. If you are in an English speaking household, come practice, or learn, a little Spanish and meet families from the Latino community. ¡Ya ha regresado la Noche de la Familia en la Bilblioteca Wilkinson! Venga a la biblioteca para una noche bilingue llena de cuentos, juegos, comida, amigos y familia. Este programa es el último jueves de cada mes a las 5:00 de la tarde. Putting the Polish on Your Poems

Tuesdays. July 28th- August 25th. 6:30-8:30PM.  $200 tuition Throughout this five- week class, students will learn valuable skills to improve their poetry. Through encouragment and tools, students will learn how to better serve the poem and their muse. Students will also discuss how and where to send out poems for publication. Bring a notebook, writing material, and your poetry.
