Saint Patrick’s Day had to be the funnest (yeah…. I know it’s not a word) day that I have ever had on the mountain! I started off the day heading out with a couple of friends just thinking it was going to be a normal day of riding. Much to my surprise by noon our group had multiplied and we were now mobbing down the mountain with a group of over a dozen. It was a prefect spring day; by far the warmest weather I have experienced on the mountain.

The question of the night was…“what is there to do in Telluride on a Tuesday night”? After debating for a couple of hours, the group finally decided to make the venture up to Mountain Village. Our finally destination would be Palmyra at the Peaks.

So the lifts are closed for the day but you still have a craving for MORE snow... take the family sledding by lift #7!
The other day, some friends and I went to lift #7 to get our powder fix and try out our new sleds we had bought... Needless to say, it was one of the best times i've had away from the slopes. Check out the pictures!

Winter is officially here and it's been an exciting week gearing up for the 2009/2010 ski season. As the last couple Aspen leaves trickled to the ground, a cold wind ripped through town on Tuesday and you could smell a storm was brewin. It all started, Tuesday the 27th, when the local weather report was calling for 1-5 inches of snow in Telluride - a light "dusting" to help get the skies out of the storage unit (yes, 5 inches is a dusting here in Telluride). Little did we know that Colorado would receive its largest storm in October in over 100 years.

CommentsThursday night I had the pleasure of attending Henry V presented by the Guthrie Theatre. They put on a great play at the Palm Theatre that was a complete un-edited version of this Shakespearean classic.

While Telluride is mostly known for its downhill skiing in the winter, there are a lot of other fun winter sports going on as well. A few Sundays ago, a local girl scout troop enjoyed a guided snowshoeing adventure on the ski mountain. We enjoyed incredible views and incredible snow.

If you're wondering what Telluride has to do other than skiing, you should try your hand at snow sculpting.
