Chaco the Office Dog

I'm Chaco. Well, today I'm King Chaco. I have a King's Robe in royal purpe so that today, everyone knows I'm King.

Admittedly, everyday I am treated like a king, but today, today is the day everyone knows I'm the king because I have a robe. My owner finally understood how mistreated I have been by members of his staff. Sure they pet me, but everytime that phone rings, they stop. Sure, they'll give me treats and snacks, but they always get the biggest pieces. Today, they know that all of that will change because I am king. King Chaco. 

I need a title. It's not that King Chaco isn't fine on it's own, indeed, just the name Chaco commands attention and respect. King Chaco just adds to it. I need the rest of my title to be descriptive. You know, like Princess Madeline has- Princess Madeline Duchess of Halsingland and Gastrikland. I know this because my owner is a huge fan of Princess Madeline. In fact, I think that if he weren't so busy taking care of King Chaco, he might go to Sweden and sweep her off her feet. Of course, our family only has room for one member of royalty, and that's me, King Chaco Duke of Telluride.

No, that just doesn't have the same amount of gusto as Princess Madeline's title. I do like Duke. That's the name of some lesser dogs, but it doens't sound like a dog name when it's behind King Chaco, Duke of . . . Maybe I should think abou the things I like to do. I like to eat carrots- they're my favorite treat.

King Chaco, Duke of Carrotdom. It has a nice ring to it, but I don't think anyone would believe Carrotdom is a place.

What else do I like to do? I like to bark at strangers. I hate strangers. King Chaco Duke of Strangerhater. No, that's still not right. My favorite thing to do while I'm with my owner while he's at work is go to the River Trail. Everyone knows how much I love the River Trail and when they're going to the bank or somewhere in town, and I'm with them, we always detor to the River Trail. The River Trail is where my castle should be. You can get a nice drink of cool water, you can go for a short swim, and you can get my owner Frank mad all in one go. King Chaco Duke of the River Trail. I like it. I have to go tell my owner that from now on, I will no longer be Chaco. I am King Chaco Duke of the River Trail!
