Friendly Visit From Phoenix

One of my best friends from Phoenix came up to visit me last week. She came up with Alpine Ski Club; they gave her a smoking deal on her trip due to the fact that she stayed with me.

We spent the bulk of the first day on the slopes hanging out on to the meadows. For those of you that don’t know what that is, it’s pretty much the “bunny slope” of Telluride Ski Resort. She had a rough day out there, which is to be expected when you just start out learning how to ride a snowboard. There were several times she got frustrated and wanted to trade her board in for a pair of skis, but I continued to lighten the mood by doing silly things such as dancing around and throwing snowballs at her. While I wasn’t being a goober I entertained myself by riding switch as well as riding while turning clockwise/counter clockwise down the mountain.

On the third day for her last run here in Telluride, I decided to take her up to “See Forever”. You could tell she was in complete amazement of the view and was realizing that all her hard work had paid off. In the end she progressed a lot and most importantly left on high note! I had so much fun while she was here. It was nice to see a familiar face, I’m happy she made the trip out here to come and visit.
