Hey yall, so shocker on today's topic: the Bluegrass festival. So far for me there have been two major highlights: Dierks Bently and Alison Krauss. Both were very different and yet entirely festivarian focused experiences!

CommentsHey! Hart isn't writing this guys, Ginny is. I just thought you should know off the bat. And hopefully I can give yall a fresh perspective on Telluride. I have been coming up here my whole life. When I was young, my family came up just about every summer to enjoy the hiking and the wildflowers. To tell the truth, when I was particularly little, the wildflowers were my favorite. It makes sense though, seeing as my uncles gave me piggyback rides all the way up my "hikes". Come July the flowers just explode onto the mountain and Telluride is alive with color.

We are ecstatic here in Telluride for the 2009/2010 ski season! Thanksgiving day (while the turkey was in the oven) the chair lifts started up, skis came out, the sun was shining and we gave thanks here in Telluride for the beginning of the winter ski season.
For the second consecutive year, Telluride was ranked the #2 resort in North America in the Conde Nast Reader's Poll. On opening day, a light dusting covered the slopes and with a base of 20" inches, we're gearing up for another "Unmatched" ski season here in the San Juans.

So the lifts are closed for the day but you still have a craving for MORE snow... take the family sledding by lift #7!
The other day, some friends and I went to lift #7 to get our powder fix and try out our new sleds we had bought... Needless to say, it was one of the best times i've had away from the slopes. Check out the pictures!

Winter is officially here and it's been an exciting week gearing up for the 2009/2010 ski season. As the last couple Aspen leaves trickled to the ground, a cold wind ripped through town on Tuesday and you could smell a storm was brewin. It all started, Tuesday the 27th, when the local weather report was calling for 1-5 inches of snow in Telluride - a light "dusting" to help get the skies out of the storage unit (yes, 5 inches is a dusting here in Telluride). Little did we know that Colorado would receive its largest storm in October in over 100 years.

This past weekend, my buddies and I went on a fly fishing excursion and checked out some of the premiere fishing spots South Western Colorado has to offer.
