Hey! Hart isn't writing this guys, Ginny is. I just thought you should know off the bat. And hopefully I can give yall a fresh perspective on Telluride. I have been coming up here my whole life. When I was young, my family came up just about every summer to enjoy the hiking and the wildflowers. To tell the truth, when I was particularly little, the wildflowers were my favorite. It makes sense though, seeing as my uncles gave me piggyback rides all the way up my "hikes". Come July the flowers just explode onto the mountain and Telluride is alive with color. From Indian Paintbrushes to Columbine to goodness knows what else, a myriad of color, height, and hue transfrom an already lovely town. But now that I'm grown(ish), and here all summer, hiking has taken precedence over the flowers alone. It is hard to beat the view from the top of Sneffels Highline, and when I summitted Ajax, looking down at the old mining mine of Tomboy took my breath away. Now I could ramble about all my favorite hikes and views in Telluride, but that would just be too much for one read. So I think I'll save some material for my next entry. Peace!
