The question of the night was…“what is there to do in Telluride on a Tuesday night”? After debating for a couple of hours, the group finally decided to make the venture up to Mountain Village. Our finally destination would be Palmyra at the Peaks.

The restaurant had an ambiance unlike any other. Although it was an upscale restaurant, I really enjoyed the fact it had a laid back atmosphere in which you could enjoy while relaxing on one of their many cozy couches. Its dim lighting was illuminated by fire focal points strategically placed throughout the restaurant, making it a more intimate setting. The service was exceptional; you could really tell they paid attention to detail, down to providing mini flashlights to read the menu. Many of the menu items were “all time favorites”, with a classic flair such as shrimp nachos and duck quesadillas. The majority of us ordered appetizers and shared with one another. I really enjoyed everything that I tried and would definitely come back again despite the journey.

One little trick that I learned on the gondola ride back home is that the more people you have on there, the warmer the ride is… who would have thought such a thing! =)
