Settling Into My Internship
« Back to Telluride Hotels Blog
I’ve been in Telluride for about a month and a half now and am starting to get the hang of things. A few weeks ago I started answering the phones, the first day was really nerve racking, but it has gotten a lot better with time. Surprisingly I have gotten a lot of opportunities to view the majority of properties both at work and on my own personal time. Seeing firsthand where the properties are located and what type amenities they have has been a great help. I feel a lot more comfortable selling something when I can actually visualize it in my head. My favorite part of the week is the sales meeting. Its here that strategic sales and marking decisions are made. It is really interesting hear everyone’s input (which is usually all different) and see how the group comes to a final consensus. All and all things are going great; you can’t beat going snowboarding 2-3 times per week on one of the best mountains around. I’m really happy that I made the decision to take the leap and come out here for this internship; it truly is an opportunity of a lifetime!
