Ice Skating - Rekindle your childhood memories and try our numerous ice skating rinks here in Telluride! This is a great way to spend time with your family and your kids will really dig this outdoor activity. In Mountain Village, check out free skating all day long at the pond right beside Bootdoctors and the brand new rink at Capella. Telluride Town Park provides a brand new ice skating rink with amazing views of Bear Creek and Ajax Mountain. For free skate times in Town Park, call 970-728-2173, and for rentals, call Telluride Nordic Center at 970-728-1144. Winter Fly Fishing- So you might be thinking... Why in the world would you fish in the cold winter??! Well... fish need love (and food) all winter and with less traffic on nearby rivers, means more fish to be had! Ouray Hot Springs- In our beautiful neighboring town of Ouray, sits numerous natural Hot Springs great for the entire family! This would be an ideal "day trip" to take the family and soak your ski legs after a couple days at the Telluride Ski Resort.

Dog Sledding- This is your one chance to experience the thrill of the Iditarod right in Telluride's backyard! Many different trips are offered through Winter Moon Sled Dog Adventures.
