Traveling to Telluride, Colorado

Traveling to Telluride was an adventure in its self. My small little car isn’t built for the snow, so I decided to fly to Telluride (TEX). Surprisingly I was able to get a really good deal on a ticket so I scooped it up the second I saw it!
When the day came for me to travel to Telluride I was filled with excitement. Once at the airport, it was apparent that my journey may have some complications. Due to “weather conditions” they were trying to leave 6 people and luggage behind to cut down on the weight load. Talk about an announcement to put your mind at ease!!! After about an hour of scrambling to shift people around they finally decided to let everyone travel on their scheduled flight.
The plane I flew only held 36 passengers and boarded from the ground. It was a pretty cool experience because I have never been on a plane so small, especially one that you had to walk up steps in order to enter. Once we began to prepare for take off, everyone on the plane was in good spirits, the entire vibe was definitely uplifting! I sat next to this super cool Aussie lady who travels to the US every year with a huge group of friends and family to stay at The River Club through Telluride Alpine Lodging. She gave me the inside scoop about Telluride and provided me with a lot of insightful information.
The flight from Arizona was extremely fast, before I knew it we were beginning to descend and I was surrounded by the natural beauty of Telluride. I must say it had to be the most scenic and fun flight I have ever been on. After landing I was met by one of my co-workers from Telluride Alpine Lodging, she was the first face I saw after getting off the plane. The feeling I had was truly indescribable, it’s a moment that Ill never forget!
