Montana Placer Inn is a 4-room inn located right in the Town of Telluride on S. Oak Street. This location is only ½ block to Telluride’s Main Street and the gondola station and lift 8, so you are close to everything you need – including skiing and snowboarding in the winter season! In the summer, there is a weekly Farmer’s Market on S. Oak Street. Although this inn is so close to everything in town it is still a quiet location.

DIRECTIONS TO MONTANA PLACER INN FROM OUR MAIN STREET OFFICE, 324 W. COLORADO AVENUE;
From 324 W.Colorado, take a right onto S. Fir Street, then another right onto W. Pacific Street. The next cross-street is S. Oak - from here take a left (one-way street) onto S. Oak Street and park in front of the Montana Placer Inn at 210 S. Oak. There is parking at first-come-first-serve basis in the back alley behind the hotel rooms (access from W. Pacific Street). The Montana Placer Inn is a small building on your left with a porch that has cream railing. Three parking spaces are available at the Inn; to access them, turn right from W. Pacific into the alley between the Montana Placer Inn and the building on the left. Pass the Inn, and turn right just past room 5 and the hot tub. Parking is behind room 5 close to the Hot Tub. Please note that larger vehicles should park on the street; street parking permits will be provided upon check-in at 324 W. Colorado. Also, during the winter, the alley is used for snow storage and parking may not be accessible to all vehicles. Street parking is available on Oak Street, San Juan, and Pacific. Please read the street signs regarding snow removal parking restrictions as well as parking restrictions regarding the summer Farmer’s Market on Oak Street.

"Awesome location. About a minute stroll to the gondola down the street. Bed is big and comfy. Room has microfridge with freezer compartment. Wine glasses, cork screw, dvd player, microwave, plates, etc. provided. Loved the heated bathroom floors. Welcome kit contained: Aleve, Alkaseltzer, Gatorade (powder form for on the go), nature valley snack bars, coffee, etc. Lotion & shampoo provided along with daily housekeeping service around 10am [when we were there]. Room uses code-entry, and you have to turn the lock (instead of the door handle) to open. Balcony had about 3-4 ft of snow, so we couldnt use it. View from balcony looks into a wall. ALl in all, excellent value. Would stay at again."

"This place was just what we were looking for. We stayed in the carriage house out back (Montana Placer # 5). It was perfect for two. And the kitchenette (mini fridge, stove, sink, toaster, coffee maker) meant we could save some money by cooking. Better yet, the grocery store was a block away. REALLY close. Lift 8 and the Gondola were steps away - literally - right next to a delicious cafe (X) and equipment rental (Telluride Sports). Main street was one street up. Cosmopolitan (highly recommend this restaurant) was also only a block away. Everything was so convenient. The shared hot tub was right outside our door and very secluded. We used it every night and never had to "share" it. Telluride itself is gorgeous! At $119/nt, you'll be hardpressed to find a better deal! Enjoy!"

"My wife and I enjoyed staying at the Montana Placer Inn while in Telluride. The room was comfortable, with a king-size bed and full bathtub. The fireplace was a nice touch as was the sink and refrig. We appreciated the twin sinks in the bathroom. The location was terrific, one block from the Gondola and close to main street. Because we both like it cool at night we had to open the window to drop the temperature to around 62F. It also seemed the walls were a little thin as we could hear people talking outside and in other rooms. Not all the blinds worked either. Overall though, we received great value and I would recommend this facility!"
