Win up to $1,000,000 as you watch large red medicine balls roll down the ski hill! In a nutshell, the Red Ball Express is a race of 100+ large red balls down a ski slope. The first balls down the race course determine who wins the prizes.  While the race itself takes only a few minutes, the preparation for the event takes at least 6 months.  Rotary recruits sponsors and non-profit participants, promotes the event and sells tickets.  Non-profits sell the tickets and keep 80% of the proceeds.  More information about the event can be found at www.RotaryRedBall.com and at Telluride.com 's webpage.

Presented by The Sheridan Arts Foundation, the Telluride Tribute Fest is a weekend of tributes to some of the greatest bands in rock and roll history. The 2nd annual Telluride Tribute Fest kicks off on March 19th to the 21st. This years line up includes: Who's Bad? The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band (March 19) Rumors: The Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute Show (March 20) Yesterday The Beatles Tribute Band (March 21)

On March 22, blues legend Taj Mahal will preforming a solo acoustic act. As a composer, intrumentalist and vocalist, he is one of the most prominent figures in 20th century blues and roots music. This is a preformance you would not want to miss. The show is at 8:00pm on Sunday, March 22. Opera’s most enduring tragic double bill returns in an evocative new production from Sir David McVicar, who sets the action across two time periods but in the same Sicilian village. Marcelo Álvarez rises to the challenge of playing the dual tenor roles of Turiddu in  Cavalleria Rusticana  and Canio in  Pagliacci . Rae Smith ( War Horse ) has designed the moodily atmospheric 1900 village square setting of  Cavalleria , which transforms to a 1948 truck stop for the doomed vaudeville troupe of  Pagliacci . The Wild West Fest is a small festival specifically designed to share Telluride with 50 inner-city youth from Big Brother, Big Sisters of America and Boys & Girls Clubs from across the United States. During their week in Telluride, the boys and girls participate in drama, dance, horsemanship, fly-fishing, golf, and the Rock & Roll Academy.  The Wild West Fest was created by the Sheridan Arts Foundation, which raises $50,000 each year to run the program.
