The Ah Haa's annual fundraiser has been a must-attend summer event for over 20 years. Both art lovers and community members support the Ah Haa School by bidding on a wide range of work created by artists in and out of Telluride. Typically, more than 100 artworks and myriad services and excursions donated by the region's artists, businesses and supporters of the school are auctioned in live and silent auctions. Good food and drink, performances and a fantastic party for everyone to attend.

Telluride Theatre presents their annual Shakespeare in the Park event. July 2015 marks the 23nd year of Shakespeare in the Park. The classic theatre is performed on the stunning Town Park main stage under the peaks of the San Juan Mountains.

The Telluride Playwright's Festival is a six day intensive workshop for playwrights, actors, and directors to refine their craft and written work. The festival is put on by Sparky Productions, a non-profit that offers playwrights the unique experience of working in a Rocky Mountain setting. The goal is to help playwrights fulfill their vision in an intimate workshop setting beneath the San Juan Mountain peaks.  Plays are chosen from a submission system; playwrights are then offered the opportunity to travel to Telluride to work with a group of actors, directors, and fellow playwrights to refine their work. The 2ndAnnual Many Hands Fiber Arts Festival seeks to bring together fiber arts artists of all ages to exhibit, educate, and learn about the diverse methods of fiber arts creation. Styles include knitting, quilting, textiles, weaving, needlepoint, embroidery, felting, crochet, and more! The festival also includes an extensive sale that will be held at the Telluride High School throughout the weekend.

The Telluride Chamber Music Festival has been bringing chamber music to our box canyon since 1973. The festival seeks to forge a spontaneous connection between the audience and the musicians. The festival showcases the finest in chamber music by performing some of the classic greats.  Participating musicians are Roy Malan, Susan Freier, Nance Ellis, Polly Malan, Ian Scarfe, Jeffrey LaDeur, Stephen Harrison, Allan Glassman, and Larry London. What began as a way to train for the Pike's Peak marathon in 1974 is now a full-fledged race. The race from Ouray to Telluride over the 13,114 foot  Imogene Pass . This is a 17.1 mile point to point mountain race. The pass is a 4x4 dirt road that passes through mining ruins, up jagged peaks, and above treeline. The runners finish at the  Sheridan Opera House on Oak Street in Telluride.  Remember to dress appropriately for the weather and be prepared for any and all conditions.
