  2015 BLUEGRASS:  June 18-21, 2015 It's a bit early to have information about the 2015 Telluride Bluegrass Festival, but it's not too early to book lodging .  Many veteran festivarians book their condos and hotel rooms a year in advance and the town of Telluride is mostly sold out six months before the festival.  General Information The 2014 is over, but check out our 2014 Bluegrass Photo Album to jog your memory.  In it we selected about 30 of our favorite photos from over 5,000 photos that our staff took. Performers regularly say that Telluride is, "the most beautiful place I've ever played." The Telluride Plein Air Festival draws artists from around the country to paint "en plein air" (in the outdoors) and exhibit and sell their work. 2014 Update - There will be FIREWORKS! 4th of July in Telluride is small-town Americana at its finest. We really do it up here -- running races, parade, BBQ, family games in Town Park, airplane flybys, and fireworks.  The day kicks off with the Telluride Foundation's Rundola, a recreational foot race to benefit the Telluride Foundation. Participants begin at the base of the gondola in the town of Telluride and finish at the top of the ridge adjacent to the San Sophia gondola mid-station. The Rundola is an open registration foot race from the base of the gondola in Telluride to the top of the ridge adjacent to the San Sophia mid-station. The race is organized by and benefits the Telluride Foundation.  Runners follow the Telluride Trail (4.600 feet long, 40 feet wide, 13% uphill grade) or can simply bushwack to the finish. The elevation gain is 1,810 feet from start to finish. Participants are grouped by age and gender into categories for the race.

About the Telluride Yoga Festival Founded in 2007, the Telluride Yoga Festival is an intimate yoga retreat held in the spiritual mountain setting of the Telluride Valley.  With a list of world-renowned instructors, the incredible setting of Telluride, and intimate class sizes, the festival today attracts more than 700 participants each year.  The weekend begins with all-day intensive trainings on Thursday, followed by three days of classes, lecturers, meditations, music, and gatherings (2014 Information). The Hardrock Hundred Mile Endurance Run is an ultramarathon of 100.5 miles, 33,992 feet of elevation climb, and 33,992 feet of descent for a total elevation change of 67,984 feet. The race is held on a loop course, including 4WD roads, dirt trails, and cross country terrain in Southern Colorado's San Juan Mountain range.  The run begins and ends in Silverton, Colorado and travels through Telluride and Ouray and crosses 13 major passes in the 12,000 to 13,000 foot (elevation) range. Completion of the event is marked by kissing the Hardrock, a picture of a ram's head painted on a large stone.  This is a graduate level endurance run. Moutaineering, wilderness survival, and wilderness navigation skills are key. The cut off time for finishing the race is 48 hours. Current course records...

The Ah Haa's annual fundraiser has been a must-attend summer event for over 20 years. Both art lovers and community members support the Ah Haa School by bidding on a wide range of work created by artists in and out of Telluride. Typically, more than 100 artworks and myriad services and excursions donated by the region's artists, businesses and supporters of the school are auctioned in live and silent auctions. Good food and drink, performances and a fantastic party for everyone to attend.
