The Telluride TV Video Awards honors and promotes community media and content participation. Awards are typically presented to pieces that challenge conventional television formats, promote community dialogue, and encourage participation of local viewers. The evening will take place at the Sheridan Opera House and will begin with a red carpet affair. You will enjoy films throughout the evening as well as a full awards show. The first balls down the race course determine who wins the prizes. While the race itself takes only a few minutes, the preparation for the event takes at least 6 months. Rae Smith ( War Horse ) has designed the moodily atmospheric 1900 village square setting of Cavalleria , which transforms to a 1948 truck stop for the doomed vaudeville troupe of Pagliacci .
