What To Do While You're Here

Once you have your lodging all squared away it’s time to think about what you would like to do during your time here – if you are looking for more activities than to relax and enjoy your time off. Telluride is not only a world-class ski resort or a great place for summer festivals; there are also a ton of great activities for the entire family! Here is a list of some of our most popular activities in Telluride;

Summer Activities
White Water Rafting – There are rafting trips available for the San Miguel, Dolores and Uncompahgre rivers for half-to full day adventures.

4WD Tours – A 4WD tour is one of the best ways to see Telluride’s amazing scenery and learn about its history at the same time! Mountain Bike Tours – Several guided tours are available, for both beginners and more advanced riders. Most sports stores in Telluride and Mountain Village also offer mountain- and cruiser bikes to rent to go on your own adventure.

Fly-Fishing – Telluride and vicinity offers some of the country’s best trout fishing!

Hiking, Camping and Climbing – If you don’t feel like going out on your own, there are plenty of classes and guided tours, both overnight with camping and half- to full-day trips for rock climbing and hiking.
Horseback Riding – Go on a scenic trail ride against the backdrop of Wilson Peak with Telluride’s own colorful cowboy – Roudy!

Winter Activities
Sleigh Ride – Snuggle up underneath a blanket and enjoy the amazing views of the San Juan and La Salle mountain ranges.

Snowmobiling – Enjoy a half day tour to the historic Alta Lakes or splurge on a full day tour to Dunton Hot Springs for a warm soak and a country gourmet lunch.
